IMEI data from a global device identity database
IMEI.guru connects lookup requests with a global device database used to identify phones, tablets, modems and other cellular equipment. The database is updated several times per week as new TAC and model records become available.
What TAC means
TAC stands for Type Allocation Code. It is the opening section of an IMEI that helps identify the device type, brand and model family. A strong TAC database makes model lookup more reliable and easier to read.
What may appear in a report
Depending on availability, a report can include brand, model, device type, network technology, production context, firmware hints or specification fields. Not every device returns the same fields.
Why results can vary
Public device data, manufacturer records, carrier context and provider fields differ across models and regions. IMEI.guru presents available information in a clean format, but users should verify critical status questions with carriers, sellers or official support when needed.
